Leafblower Flowbench

Has anyone out there tried to build their on flowbench/tool. It seems you could rig a manometer to a shop vac or leaf blower to compare flow when self porting heads and intakes. May seem crazy, but I've seen some amazing stuff on this forum.

There are several places on the web that have plans on how to build just that, a flow bench that works with a shop vac. do a search on google.

Saw a post where the guy is using a MAF sensor, was think of trying it myself, seems you could use any ole MAf sensor and there are MILLIONS of them in junkyards

There is an article in this months Car Craft about doing just that.. but it's not on their website yet. On the cover is a budget build 707hp 496 BBC they built for around 6k from carb to oil pan.

I used one like that to port my heads. Friend from work built it .... pvc pipe, a MAF sensor from an Impala, some wood, a plastic hose filled with antifreeze, and a Sears leaf blower

. Even though it didn't give you actual flow numbers and only a voltage, it was quite beneficial.
