engine noise
I have a crate 383 with KB hyper pistons. On startup it sounds like a diesel. After it`s warmed up the noise is gone. The engine has about 3k on it. It runs great, burns no oil. Should I be worried about this?

Sounds like piston slap. I bought an '01 Vette new and it did the same thing. It bothered me so much I sold it. However, everyone I talked to (mostly GM mechanics) said not to worry about it and that it had no effect on engine longevity.
