On my car I used the power to the HEI distirbutor. Seems to work with no problems.

When I converted my Q-jet from hot air to electric, I just run a wire all the way to the inside and hooked it up to the ACC block on the fuse panel (the IGN block was already used). Only downside is if I turn the radio on without running the car, the choke heats up. Works great though.

Rick, I just put the same carb on my 76 L82. Love it!!! Much better than before!!! I ran my wire through the firewall to the fuse box. Someone else mentioned the windshield wiper motor.

I'm about to put the same carb on my '79. I'm planning to use the windshield wiper motor power. I'm just going to use a scotch lock near the firewall where it can't be seen.

Ewwww! Don't use Scotch Locks if you can help it!
They make these nice adapters for spade terminals, it slips over the one terminal and gives you two terminals. The best part is it doesn't cut the wire and when you remove it there is no evidence!
