For my '72 I have Haynes, Chilton and the Chevy Shop Manual. I like Haynes the best but use all three for cross checking. (I'm kinda compulsive!)

The Chevy shop manual is by far the best imo. They are produced by Helm, Inc and you can order one here:

For 79 get the GM service manual. The one with the red cover. The 79 edition is ONLY Corvette and is very thorough with excellent electrical info, too. See them on ebay all the time, little more expensive than other years I've noticed but worth it.
