Any idea how to even this out. It's very minor but I notice it and was wondering if there is a way to even it out flush a little bit better. The drivers side headlight is very slightly sunken by millimeters but if you guys can give me any tips on how to fix this that would be great. Hopefully the pics may help
The front edge of the entire headlight assembly rests on a metal channel. It is retained by 2 dolts through this channel, 1 on either side. Remove these 2 bolts and place shims between the top of the channel and the underside of the 2 ears of the headlight assembly which rest on the ledge. This will get you a perfevt vertical alignment.
that you could also have the tabs broken off the front of your horse shoe. It happens...with our cars riding so rough. There is also a few other adjustments. Look at mine and you can see where.
Try to see on mine, there is a bracket. It has the two outer(larger) springs connected to it at the backside, bolted to the housing. You can see the 2 outer bolts holding it down. This bracket slides back and forth for even more adjustment. Keep in mind there is another bolt in the center. Looking at the pic I think you slide it back to raise the assembly, forward to lower it.
Take a look at the support bar that holds the headlight assemblies to make sure it isn't coming loose from the nose. I would use PB Blaster daily for at least a few days on any nuts or bolts that you want to turn. The pot metal corrodes really badly on the headlight assemblies.
Thanks to all that gave me the great advice, I finally got around to working on the light assembly and the hex screw worked great on getting the lights flush with the body. It look great now. Thanks.
