Default underdrive pulleys

Has any one put underdrive pulleys on the engine. If so did you notice if the engine ran hotter or about the same. I think this might be the problem with mine. Changed thermostat flushed system. Does not seem to have alot of flow unless I rev the engine.

I used an undrive pulley worked great but noticed a slight lag in the power steering at idle but I also have hydro boost breaks that run off the steering pump. Most under drive pulleys have a wp pulley as well to keep the coolent flow the same the just slow down the other acc.
p.s. I will sell my underdrive pulley if any one wants it I have an f-2 procharger now so i am not using it.

i did, not only did i run hot(even w/aluminun radiator & electric fan) but ran into a lot of dead batteries when stuck in traffic idling. put the stock pulleys backon & both problems went away. never again

I've March underdrive pulleys on mine, never had any problems with either overheating or charging. Are you sure your fans are running when they are supposed to.

I use a 25% underdriven crank pulley, and have no problems charging or overheating. I did change to an electric fan, however, to gain a few HP, but the water pump still has adequate capacity.
