Default Water Pump Install Question
Do I need to put any RTV on the threads of the water pump mounting bolts?

Default Sealer
Normally, you put a non-hardening sealer like Permatex on those threads.

I put teflon tape on mine and have had no problem with leaks.

I use a permatex silicon thread sealer, not rtv, if you use rtv make sure it's set before adding fluids....

I'd just use some pipe thread sealer. RTV is fine, but once it sets and you have to remove the pump again, you need to clean up the old RTV. With the pipe sealer, just reapply and go..
