Re: full length chambered exhaust ??? (Corzvette69)
I have the 2.5" chambered exhaust with headers. It's about like glasspack mufflers. The pipes I got with the kit to connect to the headers were just straight. If you don't have access to a pipe bender you'll need to take it to the muffler shop. They could have bent them to go through the trans crossmember and around the trans at the very least. I like them, but I'm not sure what the neighbors think when I leave for work in the morning.
Ive got the MAD chambered system for a headers. Im pretty sure they are cheaper than the system for exhaust manifolds, but not 100% sure. The system i have went through the crossmember without any mods or bending. i added a few extra hangers for extra support. Other than that i needed custom pipes bent from the collector to the start of the new system. They have to be custom bent becuase all the collectors are in different locations. Shouldnt cost but $50. Oh, with the MAD system you should get a nice set of exhaust tips. The ones they provide are ugly!! As far as hearing a sound clip, go to my webpage....link is on top of sig, and go to the download page...there are all kinds of sound clips and videos as well
i work up at Corvette Center in Newington (had to stop for the school year cuz of shop hours) but the MAD is what i ordered. and i dont care on tips. and i LOVE how that sounds. only problem is how loud is it when your just cruising ?
