Looking on Corvette Central to find 68 brake light switch (connects under dash sensing off the brake pedal) No luck so far. Need external bracket ,early 68 maybe C2 variety. Any vendors carry this?
Tried, found absolutely nothing like what's in my car. Long bracket with two elongated holes that bolts into the brake/ clutch bracket. Welded to the bracket is the switch with a short arm that hits the brake pedal rod. I bypassed the switch by using a paperclip on the connector and the brake lights came on so it is the switch.
Did it look like this one? I'm just trying to make sure you are talking about the standard 68 brakelight switch, which is a one year only part, and as far as I know a corvette only part. Surprisingly, it was pretty available until a few years ago but now is getting hard to find.
Anybody? I'm getting ready to take it back off and take the switch with me on deployment and hope the Electronic Technicians can open it up and resolder whatever's broken inside.
Leaving Saturday morning yet underway today and duty tommorow so have Wednesday, Thursday, Friday evening with Mrs. Cali.
Called. Talked to his son twice. He said his Dad is the only one who knows where those parts are. Never got a call-back. Appears to be a mickey-mouse operation. Kind of nervous about dealing with these guys.
