i am restoring the bubba-ized interior of my 78 pace car and need some help locating the proper power door lock rod/actuator/wiring assembly diagram in my AIM. i have nothing in the doors in the way of wiring or actuators (and there were no switches in the door panels i removed) and need as complete a diagram as possible to attempt to restore the power door lock funtion to my car. if someone has any pictures of their own car in that area, i would be most appreciative. i need EVERYTHING right down to the lock rods and their assembly. any help or direction would be greatly appreciated. all i have been able to locate in my AIM is the diagram of the whole door showing all the components in general. a detailed assembly diagram would be great, i just can find it if it's there. my email is srs244@gmail.com
Buy a GM/Chevy shop manual for your year car put out by Chevrolet (not a hayes or chilton). It should have everything you need in it. Look on Ebay
i have an original gm shop manual for the 78 corvette, but it isn't covered anywhere that i could find. needless to say, the hayes manual didn't have anything either. the AIM (assembly manual from gm) shows the actuator as part of the door assembly, but i couldn't find any detailed diagrams like the ones jerome provided.

Steve,
I have a 1976 vette and had to buy 2 shop manuals. One was the 1974 shop manual and the second was the 1976 Supplement manual that covered all the things that changed during 75 and 76. It's about half as thick as the 1974 manual. Could that be what your 78 manual is? A supplement?
