Try going to your local auto parts store. Stant sells a nice quality cap and available for just about every year. They should have a catalog in the gas cap section and I have always found the C3 caps in stock.
Good Luck.

Yeah, that's were it is. But when I finish the frame off, I'm going to drive the hell out of it and I want some kind of protection. Kragen's can get a fram cap but they have to order it. I'll keep checking. I was hoping someone had a cool cap supplier. If I could lock the Cobra cap, I'd be all over that.

Tried all my local "parts shops" in the area. No caps work.

Found a cap through a specialized vendor. He said he can get a locking cap out of New York. Price: $244!!!!

come on...Can someone throw me a bone here?!!

I have a chrome locking gas cap that was on my 72 when I bought it and I just found the Briggs & Stratton key for it. These are $$$ caps - make a decent offer and I'll consdier selling it. I saw them at Carlisle last year in the price ranges you were quoted.

The one I have is an original one and the B&S key makes it more valuable! Don't ask me why, I thought they were crap back 1978 when I bought the car! If you just want a cap for the street then the one on ebay looks like mine and is new, for $40-50 it is still less then these "original" ones!
