Anyone know about pro-built Holleys?
It is supposed to be a 950 Holley DP with mechanical secondaries supposedly built by a guy named Chuck Gulledge (NASCAR?). It has an electric choke which could have been added later.
The number on the choke tower is LIST-4781-3 with 0160 under it. Is this a casting date or serial number?
On the butterflies is stamped '289'.
Elsewhere on the carb is the number 6R 5538B.
When the present owner took it into a shop to replace the leaking diaphrams the guy said this was a very rare and desirable carb???
Any responses are very much appreciated!

It's possible that Chuck may have messed with it..but those numbers don't tell you anything about that. I believe Chuck was an old Holley engineer maybe?...do a search..he's written some books I think..

My predicament is that I'm running an L88 hood and using the airbox on my 69. Is there any dominator style intake that I can use under the this hood. My engine builder is telling me I need to run a dominator with my solid roller 555 buildup but all I have found is the 4150 intakes and carbs are the only ones that will fit.
I'm assuming it is the same hood clearance as your C2 so what are you using atop that dominator?
