My understanding is that angle plug heads might have a slight performance advantage (but minimal). However, some type of headers don't work too well with angle plugs (i.e. Hooker sidepipe headers)...

Angle plug heads have many advantages. Including location of the spark in the chamber and the use of deep reach 3/4 inch plug threads.

Don't know if AFR's plug location is the same, but GM angle plug heads work fine with Hooker sidemounts.

That number 2 plug will be awfully close to the header pipe... I have ZZ4 heads on my yellow '68 and the #1 plug is way too close to the pipe.. It works but I'm not too comfortable about that.. I might go with shorty spark plugs..

I'm using 3/4 inch plug reach on my straight heads without a problem...

Generally - Stock type straight plug heads use a short reach or tappered type plug.

my hooker side mounts worked fine and bolted streight into my 210 afr heads...instead, i had to heavily modify my new hooker headers for an undercarriage exhaust.

I have dart 215 angle plug heads with Hooker super comps. A couple of the plugs are pretty close but with the slip on high temp sleeves I have had no problems.

Does anyone have an idea what good plugs would be for Bow Tie cast iron cylinder head 14011034. These are installed on a blower engine.

Thanks

My first 383 had Dart pro 1 215 CC with the optional 2.08/1.625 valves with the factory porting. They were actually 221 cc as I got them.

It was good running motor with a solid roller. Of course it need more so I upped the cam duration and installed the dart 227 cc heads. I'm still driving it today like that today with a 5 speed.

I would use 200+cc on 383's
