Default rear ratio

I have a 1980 L48 Corvette. How can I tell what my gear ratio is?

Raise the rear of the car, support it with jack-stands, and put the car in Neutral:
with White shoe-polish, or first-aid tape, place a stripe at the very bottom of the rear tire (bead to corner of sidewall/tread ), and another stripe long-ways (not 'around' ) on the very bottom of the drive-shaft.

Spin the tires 10 times, counting dirve-shaft revolutions, and when finished, divide the drive-shaft revolutions by 10 (tire revolutions ):
if it is 37-to-10, they are 3.70s, if 35/10 it is 3.55s, 33/10 = 3.36s, almost 31/10 would be 3.08s, etc.

If it is stock, your '80 should be equipped with a 3.07, same as mine was originally. (w/automatic transmission)
