ssb vacuum pump install
ive got an 81. Has anybody put one of these vacuum pumps in before? Im trying to see the best place to put this pump, not a lot of room under the hood. Does anyone have pics of one installed. the engines got 6 pounds of vacuum at idle. The head lights do not move unless i wake the throttle , no brakes after the 2nd pump, im thinking this pump should take care of all this.

So is your vac so low because of cam mods or leaks?
IMHO a Hydroboost is a better way to go, the vac pumps are noisy and I have yet to hear anything good about them. Hydroboost can be done for a couple hundred and will last forever
