This e-bay ad looks like a "Good Deal", but individual is second owner and doesn't know what brand the glass body is??? He claims the valve covers are worth $1,000 alone and that the car runs and performs like a raped ape!
Looks like a solid old ride, and barring a few details...it looks like a good deal. Personally I don't like buying cars I cannot look at and drive first...but that one is very well presented and the seller covered a lot of bases that scammers skip.
A nostalgia rolling chassis is appx/ $16K depending on the company. That engine alone is worth 6-8K not sure what's in it. The car doesn't have carpeting. With carpeting, roll-bar padding and a little gloss the car could be sold for over $25K

Sounds to me like you know what you want to do already.
That looks like a Fiberfab kit. They were not cheap because they were pretty good stuff. Got bought out by a bunch of snakes that killed a good company with a good product. Back in 90 or so when I was looking into them the factory rep deal kit they were offering me was $10K. That was frame, body, most of the interior, no suspension, drive train or engine
I was going to "pull the trigger" and looked like a good deal, but I've been burned a couple of times before on buying cars sight unseen....They always look different in pictures and run/drive differently then expected!
My next project after the vette is done is an old school full custom pickup that will be my 4x4 DD. Not sure what body style i want yet, but I've got my plans.

I've always wanted to do a Cobra kit car, Factory Five I think. I was gonna do a badazz 302 or 351.

Yeah I really like the cobras too, my fav car when growing up. Didn't discover vettes until soph yr in high school when a 78/82 project car became available via my pops coworker.
Before the vette I had plans of doing a ford t-bucket.
The idea of me pulling into the highschool student parking lot with no roof and 15" Mickey Thompsons slicks in the back never goes away.
But like the cobra, they are a sunshine driver only.
