I've been having trouble with cold starting this winter. Pump it, crank, it'll start for a sec then die no matter what a do with the throttle. Then after a couple times it will stay started as long as i keep on the throttle. after a few minutes it will idle(a little low at first but it does).
Well today I went out to tinker with the choke so it'll start in the morning easier. well everything seems to be in working order except that no matter whether I turn the cap all the way clockwise or counter the choke will not close. I checked the inside of the cap to make sure the tab was in the loop of the spring, the connection is good, i even tried raising the fast idle... no changes whatsoever. The choke never closes, it's wide open no matter what i try.
The choke is not held open as i can easily close it by hand, but it just will not close on it's own when i try to start it
The carb i'm running is a holley street avenger 670.
