Duke,

Could you post the gear numbers for the 4 spd trans.

I have a 2.5 low gear 4 spd and 3:70 Final drive.

Thanks

What year? I looked in your profile and you have a fine collection of different years.

Duke do you have a reference chart for all years? If so is this avail online? I was looking for the correct gear going from a 308 - 336 with TH400 and 225 15's. The 308 have a white gear but I'm not sure on the # of teeth.
Thanks for the help.

I have a CD of the "Corvette Parts Manual" 1953-1982. It's basically the GM Corvette service parts manual scanned on to a CD so everything is there. The part with all the trans speedo gears is 13 pages long for 68-82 models (to much to post here). If you have a specific year, I'll post the correct page(s)

Actually this might be what you need.

Thanks for the info Duke, that was just what I was looking for even though it is bad news. The chart tells me that I need to change my dirve gear as well as the driven gear.

Jclgodale3. I don't see anything for a 2.72 axle. See the chart I just posted to Bob. It has the 71' on there as well.

Duke,
This is for my 72. I don't think they would have changed though but I know the 308 gear is white and it has never been changed. I bought the car in '78 with 40k miles on it.

Here's the 72' TH-400. Use the page from above (V73) which has the color and number of teeth by part number.

For sure. I'll probably end up posting all 13 pages sooner or later. Just glad I can add something to this Forum.

Default Speedo gear info for 75 Borg Warner 4 spd L48???

Also another question 75 shop manual says 75 4 spd was a saginaw, is that the same as a borg warner???

75 4 spd (L48, at least originally was now engine is far from that), rear gear is supposd to be stock so 1975 brochure says either 3.08 or 3.36 (hopefully 3.36)
Car is in upsate ny storage (at least hope it still is) til snow melts,
but may have to change out speedo gear. this spring....my 75 assy manual is back ordered....could u show me the 1975 Borg warner 4 spd speedo gear info from your manual??????
thnx very much!!!!!
