Squeaking!
Hey all, i have a 80 vette in the process of being restored. And i have this terrible squeaking coming from my back passengers side wheel. I have replaced all universal joints, wheel bearings, and disabled the emergency brake in a attempt to stop the insanity. From what i can tell everytime the tire rotates once around it squeaks, the faster you go the more the squeaking, applying the brake only makes it worse. PLease if someone could give me something new to try or shed some light on my problem, its driving me crazy.

I had an 80 with the exact same problem! Drove me nuts. Changed the right rear spindle opened the diff etc Finally a shop shimmed the brake rotor or the caliper not sure which and problem was gone. Some people just change the entire trailing arm. I'm not sure of where you can get shims but it was a very inexpensive lasting solution. Good luck!
