Hey gkull nice ride. I looked at your pics. Looks like you did a nice job on your cage. You are right about the 427 that would be awesome. I had some of the parts to build my 383 and I searched around and built it pretty cheap. I probably have 7k in it total carb to pan. Maybe one day I will upgrade. I went with a powerglide with a trans brake for the tranny.

Just set up the 383 to run some healthy shots of nitrous and the car will be plenty fast. My car weighs 2200 lbs. with me in it. With a pump gas 454 it goes 5.85 in the 1/8 (9.18 in the 1/4) with a 300 shot it goes 5.22 in the 1/8.

What do you think the car will weigh when you are done?

Well, I would pay you (a lot) just for blueprints, or even just very detailed photos from multiple angles. Seriously.

That's awesome! Well done! My engine builder keeps telling me I need to put a solid axle behind my 540. He'll like what you've done too.

SMH,
I would love to take a look at your car. I'm about to attempt the 4-link 9" solid axle conversion. You have a crew of guys in your area that you can call on for help. We spent the weekend doing just that for another forum member. PM sent.

I have a few friends that are good with the tools. I try not to bother anybody too much I know how it is I am very busy also. Try to do most by myself. I had alot of help in the beginning but everybody get tired if working on some one elses stuff. I totally understand that. I just keep plugging away and it will get done in time. You are more than welcome to come by sometime and look.
