What is this switch for?
There is a switch (sending unit?) in the right hand cylinder head on my 71' 350/270. It has 2 blade terminals, but there are no wires connected to it. What is the device for? The regular temperature sending unit is in the left head, and is connected to the temp gage with one wire.

On my 72 BB its a temperature switch for the TCS [transmission controlled spark]. The system eliminates vacuum advance when in reverse or nuetral. That switch turns the system off when engine is cold. I think. :crazy:
