If you are, what type of modification did you do to mount the air compressor, or did you use some aftermarket mounting bracket?
Looks like maybe some bushings or something to mount the stock bracketry is needed.
Please advise!

Just use some 3/8" bushings and cut them to length. Measure the exhaust manifold thickness at those two bolt locations then meause the thickness of the header flange cut the bushings the difference.

(this worked on my 69. Not sure how the bracket is set up on your later model)

Thats what I had planned to do, but I was wondering if anyone had done anything different.

Here is pic.

I bought a spacer some where (plumbing?). the bolt was too long so I added a few washers.

Hooker used to sell a replacement bracket that worked with the headers. It's pretty cheesy looking. I will try to get a pic tonight and edit in. I like 69vette's solution pretty well. The original bracket is pretty stout. Using it if you can makes sense.
