I have tuned my 82 and she still runs rich. The EGR valve is good, I changed the O2 sensor, Balanced the TBI, advanced the timing, changed the plugs and reset the computer. I am a bit suspiscious of the relay that controls the EGR. How do I test it? What else would cause the car to run rich? The damn fumes will knock you out
replace the cts sensor w/ a weatherpack (TPI) unit if you still have the original mushroom style connector one. The egr solenoid is just a vacuum relay, same as the purge solenoid. Just take the line off the EGR and plug it to disable, it would only run rich if the egr is allowing too much inert gasses into the intake

Next, disable the AIR system. Pinch the hose from the 2nd diverter valve that switches between headers and cat con. The valve may not switch properly and the check valve(s) may be leaking introducing air upstream of the O2 sensor.
Do you have a scan tool? if not download winaldl from jonas bylund's site ( http://www.jobyteknik.homeip.net ) build the small aldl interface cable and report data (esp. INT & BLM)
