Educate me on electric external fuel pumps...
I only ask because i've just switched from a BG 400 back to mechanical....no wiring, less fuel lines,so less chance of a leak.......and the big bonus, I can now hear my supercharger over my fuel pump

My POV only, if your mechanicals working, why not stick with it?
cheers
Jim

as for pumps, I would suggest you get a high quality pump like aeromotive or sx brand or maybe those new black anodized holley badged aeromotive pumps. A quality pump will last a lifetime, supply all the fuel you need, higher press. up to regulator & regulator assy eliminate vapor lock.....there are many benefits, the only drawback is cost.
Put it on the Dyno and watch the fuel pressure on your meter.
That will tell the whole story.
I can tell you on <--- Big red, we had almost 600 hp and dropped to 4lbs of fuel pressure on the dyno pulls.
We couldn't get enough volume of fuel through the stock lines with the holley blue and regulater combo. to feed the 415 stroker, solid roller. Demon 850
We ended up going to a MagnaFlow pump, (I highly reccommend after doing alot of research)
and pulling the stock fuel lines off the frame and running -8AN lines instead, and making a custom tank pickup.
this will educate you a bit:
