That was my thinking. If this alt. goes, I'll get a replacement anyway! A Heli-coil kit costs $20! That's half the cost of a reman.! I ended up buying a longer bolt and washers, drilled out the threads and fixed it. total cost = $ 1.20, took me less than 5 minutes!
