i cant get the slipon all the way on,it is about 1inch on the header and i tried to take back off and it is stuck.does anybody have any help w/getting them on?
I hope you used anti seize on the pipes, if you didn't stop trying to install them and drive them back off. I used a 2x4 and pounded on the bracket closest to the exhaust end. Also use a screw driver and gently pry open the clamp where the blolt comes through to clamp the pipe to the header.
Go to Auto Zone and ask for a jar. It should be over by the RTV & adhiesives. You better use anti sieze or you will be the proud owner of one and a 1/2 sets like me. I had to beat them to death because I didnt use anti freeze. Ripped one all up. So I had to buy another set of the side pipes, headers were fine.

just go to your local auto parts & get a tube & then smear it around the outside of the header & then on the inside of the sidepipe & wipe off the excess after u get the two together. it'll make the install much smoother but more important is when u have to seperate your header & sidepipe in the future, the anti seize makes it an easy job
here's how I installed mine, with(with anti sieze) took a nylon rope, put it through the rear bracket and the furthist frt end part that went parrall to side pipe.tie aknot to make a loop, thenput a rachet in the middle and twist till it's tight, then tap bracket foward and twist some more, tap twist you get the idea? You'll get there with no damage.
You may find it a lot easier to remove the header from the head. That gives you more room to wiggle it back off. With it bolted to the head you really only have room to wiggle it up and down, after removal from the head you"ll have room to wiggle it sideways also. It will come off but it"s not easy by no means (ask me how i know) also don"t forget to put anti-seiz on your muffler inserts or they"ll be very hard to remove at a later date. david
