Default TRW Rear Spring

I've got a TRW spring on the rear of my '76 that's about 20 years old. I noticed that the ride height has dropped an inch or so and that I've been bottoming out in the rear. Do these composite monosprings wear out or can I just raise the rear by raising the spring bolts on each end to get me back inlto specs with ride height and eliminate the bottoming out?

I started looking into a TRW spring because they were so cheap on Ebay. I came to find out why. The TRW spring was know for just snapping with no warning, and there you would sit on the side of a road with a buster rear spring. I wasn't keen on that and now I understand why they were so much cheaper than any other brand.

If it has dropped 1", it must be fatiguing. As with any dynamic part, it must have some failure point.
