Anyone that has followed my threads will know I am putting a Bastard sbc 350 in my 69 until I get a numbers matching motor. Until then, here is one of my problems. The 350 I have, and just about done with, does not have the position in the block to incert a pivot stud on the Clutch Cross Shaft, is there something out there that is a bolt on mod? or will I have to fabricate something in the mean time?
I contacted them and they said it was used for big block but not sure if it would work with Small Block. I would think so, it would seem to me, that the pivot point is the same for both.
only other way i know of is either drill and tap or use a hydraulic system with either slave cylinder to push the clutch fork or they also have a system with a hydraulic throw out bearing setup(more expensive)

you have a threaded hole close to there that you can use if you want to fabricate something.....this threaded hole has the plated cap screw in it above and to the right of the oil filter
I noticed that hole, but figured it was not in line, and wasent sure how I could fabricate a brack the would stay in place using that hole... Looks like I could fabricate a bracket like the one above, it wraps around and bolts to the Bell housing.
I am using the Scroggins-Dickey bracket on a Dart SB....one piece of advise though....bolt it up BEFORE you drop the motor in, mine needed to be rebent, the ball stud pointed back to the door instead of out at a 90*. I also had to tig weld the ball in there wasn`t enough room on the back side for a nut.

I was thinking it was not a easy fit. Thanks! I wish I was smart and just waited till I had the right motor to put in and do it right the first time. But I am not that smart and I want to Drive this vette, this spring!! lol
I am lucky to like a few miles away from a Classic Corvette dealer, he had the 350/300 motor, but dont do me any good if I have to go through all the work to make it a 350/350. Until today, I just thought it was the cam, intake and carb or something along those lines.... not the list that these guys have been talking about on here.
Aree you referring to a period matching engine instead of numbers matching?
Also, a hyd clutch would be so much easier to install on the temp. engine setup. Just a thought.
