Door stricker bolts
I need or want to replace my door stricker bolts with new ones not beat up. But before I unbolt them, how are they held in place on the back side. Last thing I want to do is screw the stricker bolt and have some sort of nut fall off the back side into oblivion. Is the bolt held in place with some sort of cage or what. Thanks.

I just replaced mine with two new GM strikers a couple months ago. Be sure to mark around the washer on your current strikers, as the nut in the back can slide up and down, and side to side for door adjustments (it is held in place with a cage). Too far in, and you'll be slaming the door just to make it latch. Too far out, and your doors will stick out a bit when closed. And too far up or down will result in binding.
