Default lower rear end. question

What is the bast way to lower the rear end on the corvette, I am thinking about having 17” Torg Thrust II wheels.

Is the best way to cut a little bit of the springs or do you have any better solution ?

Here is a photo of my Corvette.

Doubt those are grade 8. Wouldn't trust MY life to Home Depot.

I upgraded my bolts to 5/8x16p. Requires a little clearancing to the holes but lots stronger than stock 9/16.
