Did you bench bleed the new master cylinder? Have you tried to bleed the brakes at all? We need a little more information.

I did bench bleed the MC.
Haven't bled the lines as yet...bout freezin round here...had to do a couple other things while under the hood and that's about all my fingers could take. Though for sure that I'd have some pedal if the MC was defective.
You won't have any pedal until you bleed the calipers. And in your case, I'd do the pump and hold method to ensure that the MC is making pressure. It's not all that uncommon to get a bad rebuilt MC. And check for leaks in the lines and around the calipers.

I can confirm that, I had to gravity bleed and pressure bleed my '76 after I replaced my MC. My pedal would fade rapidly at stop lights but I did have some. Afterwards I had none until I bled everything out good. Probably went through 2 large bottles of brake fluid before everything worked right.
