Default Heater/ac Resistor ???

Can Anyone Tell Me What This Is, It Looks Like A Resistor ,it Is Located Right Next To The Tube That Comes Off The Blower Motor, It Has 2 Spades For Wires On The Inside It Looks Like A Temp. Sensor Inside, Cant Find It In Assembly Manual Or In Parts Cat. 68 With A/c

It is a resistor and provides the different fan speeds. It's placed there in the air flow to draw away heat when the fan is in anything other than the hi position.
