Bad Coil?
When making my second test drive on my 74 project, (after a year and 1/2 of restoration) I was 30 minutes into my 40 mph grandma mode, when the engine shut down. My battery was strong. . .I was getting fuel. . .but no spark! No fire from the coil. The only changes from the stock engine was an ACCEL cap, rotor, points, and coil. I returned the coil . . they gave me a new one (no questions asked) . . . after a couple of trys it fired and I headed home. Since that time I reinstalled a stock coil (thinking maybe it would be best to return to as much stock as possible. Everything is functioning at this point however, I never found a difinitive failure or problem. Needless to say . . . I'm a little concerned Any thoughts???
