Well the sweetie wants to make the vette have heat and with the shut off from NAPA , what do you guys that have done this think ,take out the old one and take it to A rad. shop or just buy A good Quailty new one?(If thats Possible?)
Also Im looking at putting some headers on will it be easy to find an electric choke for my rodchester ? Thanks in advance All

There are many threads on installing the shut-off valve. I haven't done it becasue I have AC, but the guys here who have done it seem satisfied.
New heater cores are readily available for about 70bucks.

Its been my experience that the new cores, regardless of manufacture, all seem to have poorly formed supply tubes. When you install them the saddle clamp that holds the tubes in place stresses the tubes. I ended up taking the original Harrison core to a shop and had it recored. It was about the same cost as new a AC Delco but a better part.
