Default TH350 temp gauge install

Can anyone tell me if the TH350 has a convenient tapping on it's housing somewhere to put a 1/2",3/8", or 1/4" npt temperature sensor?
I'm going to put a gauge on mine, and I don't want to mess with welding in a bung/bushing if I don't have to.

Yes, I'm aware of that option, but I'm looking for the EASY way out.

LOL, in that case NO, theres no place to do that. I just went out and looked at mine and didn't see anything obvious. on the pass side there are 2 plugs that might be for pressure readings, I don't have a 350 book here either.

One of the test ports maybe? It wouldn't have the advantage of circulated fluid like the cooling line, but it might work. Not sure of the fitting sizes.

Thanks for checks. I don't have any issues (that I know of) with overheating, but I like to have gauges on everything. I may try and get some readings for a baseline using a strap-on sensor. If I decide to go with a deeper pan, Ill get aluminum and tap it.

You can weld a bung or threaded nut or pipe nipple to the existing pan. I do normally to make a drain.

Aluminum may be a dnagerous choice depending on your roads etc. Stell will dent but usually not crack or break.

Just food for thought
