Does the mounting hardware for Hooker’s muffler tubes work? I recently bought the set up and the bolts, nuts, washers and rubber that they provided are so long they hit the rocker molding.
Iam working with that problem now,,,,I just used a thin nylon lock nut and cut the extra threads off and now they clear. I found that I had to bend the brackets and what not to get the pipes to fit right. I got the r side done last night and tonight is the L side.
send me a pm and ur email address and I will send ya a pic of what I got
Bolt them on then hit the threads with a hacksaw. Had to cut mine to make them clear the covers. I'm not sure why they make them so long. My guess is so that you can get a hold of them to get the nut started. It's a pretty crumby design for such an expensive product.
My bolt-tabs would not match the slots in the frame so i just aligned it all up and welded them on the frame,,,then cut the bolts off to the proper length. hooker does provide a cheezy way to mount the pipes.
