Big Block head casting number question
I have a pair of 840 castings, date code L-13-8. On each head there is an arrow kind of like a clock. One points to 2 and one to 5. Can someone tell me what that means

now I guess the question is, what are they worth. All they need are springs and paint. They have the small exhaust valve for a 435

I sold a set of 68's for $800. No cracks, striped holes or damage but I would rebuild them. Yours are more desirable. The 69's are all getting used for camaro and chevelle restorations and clones so are hard to find. Yours are correct for 69 COPO cars also. I bought a NICE set of heads correct for 1970 LS6 complete, rebuilt and perfect for $1500. That gives you a range.

these are 100% fresh ready to be painted and put on a motor (minus springs, but I have those too)
