Electric fans

I got my new Dewitts radiator and fan unit (awesum unit) and I have one question. The radiator has a built in thermoswitch set to come on at 190 degrees. They installed that switch in the radiator with teflon tape on it so how does it make the ground through the tape? I am assuming that I need to ground the actual radiator as well.

That tape won't stop the threads from cutting thru and grounding.

Yep. The Teflon tape is just there to seal the voids between the threads on anything like that. You will see lots of posts in here to not use it on switches and sensors, but it will work just fine.

It probably doesn't need a ground

Maybe it's designed for "in series use".

What did the install instructions say?

Look up the part no.

The instructions said "do not use tape"
