I think I'am vapor locking?
Working on my 68 454 project after about 5miles my car stalls out .I Have fuel pressure gauge and i thought maybe it was my fuel pump changed to carter 120 gph and 8.5 -9.0pressure.When car sits in my driveway temp jumps up to 210 and my clear fuel filter starts upfull but gradually goes to half to a quarter the more it idles .Did they run the fuel lines different for a big block seems like everything gets pretty warm under their in a hurry. thanks terry :smash:

I vapor locked once on mine. The fuel line was too close to the front of my header, just above the fuel pump. I wire tied it to the A/C bracket and no more problems. Look and see if you're close to the exhaust and if it is there's your problem.

Is your fuel line metal? I had similar problems and switched a part of the line (6 inches or so) to rubber since the metal got so hot. Haven't had any problems since.

I'm running braided line up to the carb .Is their a wrap or something i can use to reflect the heat.I've seen stuff in summit and jegs just don't know which is best.
