Default Installed my Bilsteins Saturday

Here's a heads up. If you converted your front to a VB&P monoleaf you have to drop the spring to get the shocks off. Didn't know that before I started and what I thought would be a two hour job ended up takeing the beter part of the day.

On the bright side, I took the 74 out for a spin after I was done and the Bilsteins were a big improvement over the KYBs I had on before. The bouncing of the rear end with a TRW 340 lb. fiberglas spring was for the most part gone. I hid a few big dips and the rear didn't bottom even with a full tank of gas. The front held well too and when cornering over bumps the front didn't bounce around like before. Everything felt more controlled.

BTW, they are Bilstein Sports.

I guess when I get the kit, I'll have to keep those in it. I have KYB GR-2 shocks right now, but wasn't sure what kind of improvement the Bilsteins will have on ride quality. I'll have to watch closely on this topic to make up my mind.

Good Job on the install.
