I do have a freshly rebuilt 4.11 with torrington full roller bearings, hardened heavy duty side yokes with new carbon fiber clutch pack and #400 springs. Setup the side yokes with .005 clearance. Trailing arms are new and freshly rebuilt with all new bearings and races. I also have 3" half shafts and New solid Brute force u-joints throughout I tried to build it as good as I could and, before you say it, yes I should have sent it to Gary and I shouldn't have used the carbon fiber clutches. I hadn't seen his posts yet and went with the recommened heaviest duty stuff I could find. Didn't know about Tom's or Gary at the time. Also hadn't planned on the 150 shot.
Which side yokes did you use and where did you get them. What spindles are you using. I have not planned on any juice either but it is tempting. I have to make some passes this year on just the motor to see what it can do. Being a vert I'll probably get tossed out early.

Bought the side yokes from a guy from Wisconson at Chevy Vettefest They are hardened with caps and bolts. Stock spindles. I am running 295-50-15 BFG radial T/A's so that is hopefully my weak point but over 650 HPwith a 4 speed might trash it even with street tires. I think C3grandsport is running a stock setup in the low 10's with lots of passes and had no problem but he has an automatic. A 4.11 loads the rear end a lot and a manual is a whole different ballgame. I did buy a MSD window switch for the nitrous. It will kick it in at a set RPM and out at a set RPM. I was going to engage nitrous @ 3000 and disengage at 6200. Then with a powershift at 6200 I can leave my foot in it. My rev limiter will kick in at 6500 and when I let the clutch out and the RPM drops after the upshift the nitrous is back in. Sounds kind of hard on the rear end but the window switch should help. I will run at the strip but get booted after 1 pass. Either from going too fast for my car with no cage or from spitting rear end all over the track.
You are just going to burn those BFGs right off the rim!
There is 24" of tread on the road! I used to spin the Centerline rims inside the tires with the old motor once I got them hot......... And we officially hijacked this thread!
It's O.K. by me!!! I love to hear what you guys are doing to these cars and not breaking TOO much stuff. It makes me feel better when I occasionally beat the tar out of my car. That is why I originally asked about the 1/2 shafts from Ft. Wayne!!!
BTW...my diff that was built by Gary with 3.73's is what started this whole mess. Can't wait to see the difference these make over my 3.08's behind a zz454 with a 4 speed!!!!
