pushrod length ??

Question: what's the stock pushrod length ?
I have Edelbrock RPM heads and they recommend pushrods .100" longer than stock.
I tried to measure the pushrod length with my adjustable pushrod (Trick Flow pushrod length checker) but because the hydraulic lifter collapsed I couldn't rotate the crank and didn't really see a whole lot .... with the soft lifter it's more of a guess, it looks like it's either 7.200" or 7.300" ..... I think if I want more reliable measurements I have to buy one more hydraulic lifter and shim it up to make it 'solid'
The pushrods are stock length "7.2" for me with this setup. the length checker tool didnt help me either..just wasnt accurate for some reason?
I went ahead and got the 7.2" length, set one up and used the roller rocker trace mark on the Valve stem to verify I had the right length and geometry.
7.3" length is what Comp advertises for Retro Fit roller assy. engines..is it possible thats what edelbrock is refering too with the .1 longer pushrod for those heads?
