Default More brake problems

Hi,

I have recently changed the RR brake caliper. REAR flex hoses. metal lines
in rear. New master cylinder that I bled twice.

the problem is that I am not getting any pressure out of the rear when I am trying to bleed it.

Any ideas would be great.

Did you try gravity bleeding the back? I bet there is just a lot of air in the rear lines, also did you bench bleed the MC?

Might be a clog - a bunch of rust particles in the long frame line or in the rear distribution block.

Did you bench bleed the M/C before install? If not, pull it back off and do a bench bleed.

What year?

The differential switch on the one I'm documenting right now partially closes off the front or the rear (not both) when activated. Bleeding the brakes can activate the switch, and it needs to be reset to continue bleeding. Since you indicate that the entire rear gets no pressure, this points to the switch. If you simply have air in the lines, you will still get air/fluid pressure at the calipers when the pedal is pressed.

Turn the ignition switch to the on position and see if the dash "Brake" light is on when you step on the brake pedal. If it is, the switch needs to be reset.

This assumes the switch works, and the dash bulb and wiring is good.

You need to get the rear calipers slightly higher than the fronts when bleeding the whole system.
