Default 76-Spring Selection

I placed an order today for the Grand Touring Plus kit (42001M) from VBP. Forum member "Happiedazs" has the same set on his car but says he's wishes that he went with the 550 pound springs in front and 360 in back. The kit comes with 460's in front and 330 in back. I have time to change my order between now and when it ships Monday so I thought I'd try to get some more feedback from some who have these set-ups. I liked the idea of stiffer springs but I was worried about the 1" drop in height on the front with the stiffer springs. This will be a "driver" but I want hi-performance.
I pulled the A Arms last night. What a pain.......GP

I guess I'll be more specific. Is anybody running 550 lb front & 330 rear springs on their C3 out here? If so, are you happy with the setup for weekend windy road driving or is it too stiff?
I think the lighter springs are good but I have 1 vote for going with stiffer for this type of driving.
Thanks....gp

I initially changed to the 460# fronts and a 360# rear spring several years ago, but found them to be too soft for my taste. I ended up with the 550# fronts and a 420# rear. The ride is firm, but not objectional. I don't drive on a lot of beat up roads, so I don't have any complaints about how it rides. This combination is also rather nice on track days. As a side note, the car also sits at a very pleasant looking height.

I have a 550lb/in and 330lb/in set for my 75. I just have to install them. The weather in the Norht East has been awful. I spoke to the tech support at VBP, and this is what the reccomend for my application. Which is a SB '75 driver.
