Default Fuel door/lid size differences
I need to buy a fuel door (lid) for a '70 model, and I am curious if the lid itself is the same diameter through the years. I know that the bezels changed as did the emblem, but I do not know if I can use a 79 (for example) lid in a 70 bezel.

Maybe this is in a book or listing of interchangable parts somewhere?

I have a 71' and a 78'. The 71' measures 5 1/2" diameter and the 78' is 7" diameter.

Corvette Black Book says " The fuel filler door hardware was redesigned in '71 for easier access." Did not say what the differences were.
