76 rear gear ratio help
Hi guys, searched for the answer but nothing came up.......Im getting ready to change the rear end fluid on my dad's 76 and figured while i'm under there and with the cover off if i could figure out what ratio he has. first are there any trim tags on the stock rears that would say which ratio it is? or is there any other way to figure it out?
what were the ratio's offered for a 76 L48 with a 4 speed ?????

My 75 came with an L48 and Muncie 4 speed as 3:36. Might be the same as yours.
You could mark the wheel with chalk and mark the driveshaft then rotate the wheel 1 revolution while counting the revolutions of the driveshaft.
