its been giving me alot of problems lately and today it let loose! no holes anywhere in the block that i can see, but man it sounded like a bazooka when it went. but it was running great breaking sideways in second! probly a piston or a valve. i will let you know what i find when i rip it apart!

Funny how that works ehh? My last engine ran like a raped ape just before it sucked a valve through the piston.

Good luck redc3... will you fix what you have if at all possible?

the thought, "I could blow the engine..." always crosses my mind before I mash the pedal to the floor...

It's funny how I always do it anyway...

Good luck!!!

Sorry for your misfortune.
But one good thing about our hobby is that for most of us we do not depend on our vettes for daily transportation, therefore when something does break it doesn't have to be fixed "before I go to work tomarrow".
So as you say it maybe a chance for better things.
Good luck!
