Default 76 seat adjusters

While Taking My Seats Out To Be Redone . I Have Been Taking Everything Apart To Get Blasted. The Seat Tracks Or Adjusters Need To Be Cleaned But Can't Seem To Get Them Apart. Does Anyone Know The Trick. Thanx In Advance.

If you are referring to the seat tracks, they unbolt from the floor and from the seat and that's it. Major mods and unnecessary to go further.

Just keep washing them in a good degreaser.

Yep, when I did my f-body seatbelts I flipped the seats over so the tracks were vertical and sprayed them down with wd40, tapped them with hammer until they freed up. They've worked fine ever since.

They Are Off Seat Frame. They Are Slightly Rusted Inside Do To A Flood.i Thought Maybe They Could Be Taken Apart And Make It Easier To Clean Them. Maybe Just Soaking Them In Mineral Spirits.

If you take them apart, the ball bearings running in a groove will fall out and you will never get them back together. Just hose them down with a spray lube and work them back and forth to free them up. They are not made to come apart.

As others have said, they are crimped after assembly and can't be taken apart without a lot of pain. It's not so easy to find replacements for these tracks, either. The back "feet" in mine had rusted away from water damage. I only found one place that sold the back feet; unfortunately, they were for an earlier car even though they were marked as 75-76. I ended up fabbing my own and welding them on the tracks.

Thanx Guys For The Input. Sounds Like The Only Remedy Is To Just Clean Them Up Good Or Find Used.
