Rebuilt Diff from Ecklers/Corvette Central Etc
I want to update my 1980 3.08 differential with a 3.70. It's a Dana 44 and I can get one rebuilt with new rack&pinion and new clutch pac and timken bearings from Eckelers or Corvette Central for $899, with 1 year unlimited mileage warranty, not including shipping and tax. Is this a good deal or are there local jobbers on the forum that can do better for the same or less money.

We build tons of diffs, I could have a 3.70 built next week for $795 and we offer a 3yr unlimited mileage warranty. It includes new gears, clutchs, and Timiken bearing and seals. We completely clean the entire unit inside and out and the carrier is magnafluxed to be sure there are no cracks.
