We have killer tire sale at work here and I was wondering what tire sizes people are putting on there 17 and 18 inch rims. I want 17's on the front and 18's on the back.I want to get TTII's, I'm assuming for these tire sizes it's an 8 inch rim. I'm looking at :
Rear Eagle F1
285/35zr18 25.9 tall
27535zr18 26.8 tall
255/45zr18 27 tall
275/40zr18 about 26 tall
Front Eagle F1
255/45zr17 26.1 tall
Will those rear tire sizes fit on the 8 inch rim? Any help on this?
None of those will fit on an 8 inch rim. The sidewall is to short for that wide of a tire. I run 275 40 18s on the rear with a 18X10 rim. Fronts are 255 45 17 on a 8 inch rim.

The 255 45 18 might fit the 8 inch.
The Goodyear book didn't list a rim size requirment but the Dunlop book did. It was from a 9 to 9.5" rim. I've been reading that a 10 inch rim won't fit with stock trailing arms or will it fit with the e-brake bracket moved?! Also, if I go with the 10" the aftermarket sway bar won't fit and the spring needs to be shortened. Is that correct? I bigger tire than a 275 or 285 will fit on a 10" right?
I run a 18X10 with stock trailing arms with the ebrake cable moved. It is tight but fits with no rubbing. The sway bar will not fit and the sprng I run is 1 inch shorter per side. A 10 inch rim will fit the 275 or 285 no problem. If you go to the Tire Rack sight and look under the tire specs it will give the recomended rim size for your tires.
